7 Eye Makeup Colors to Try This Week

Eye makeup has become more popular in quarantine because the rest of the face is hidden behind a mask. Being the only part of the face that you can dress up and show off, the eyes became more than just a window to the soul; they became a window to your personality as well.

With that said, here are some of the makeup colors you should try this week:

Chestnut

For your eyebrows, a natural chestnut color will give the impression that your eyebrows are naturally on fleek. Simply shape them and fill them in with your favorite eyebrow makeup for sale in the shade of chestnut, and voila! You already have the finishing touch for your makeup look.

Red

Want to feel empowered despite the world being filled with uncertainties? Red eyeliner or eye shadow can do the trick. You don’t have to go with a very bold, bright, or solid red, but hints of this passionate and empowering color can do wonders for your mood.

Yellow

The color of the year is not just something to add to your wardrobe or the interior design of your home. Yellow can also be part of your eye makeup palette, particularly if you like a little bit of shimmer. Glittery yellow can make your otherwise boring day brighter by adding a hint of playfulness to your look.

Gold

If yellow is too tame or plain for you, go all out and go for gold. This has a darker pigment than yellow, but it adds that luxurious feel to your makeup. It will be even better if you have your hair in a glamorous hairstyle. You can also add hints of darker eyeshadow, such as black and red, to give yourself the royal treatment.

Blue

A cool color like blue can give your eyes a different look. Break away from your usual natural look by going with pops of color that accentuate your eye color. You can also use blue in your eyeliner for an effortlessly fashionable look.

Green

Similar to blue, green can be a refreshing change to your usual makeup look. It may not be the color you usually turn to for everyday makeup, but it can add that spontaneity to your outfit, and it can also simplify your makeup routine. Rather than going in with a different eyeshadow and eyeliner, you can choose a shimmery green eyeliner and lay it on thicker than usual, so that it can double as your eye shadow as well.

Gray

Love a bit of color on your eyes, but don’t feel like going super bright? It’s perfectly understandable–there are days when you want to look good, but you don’t feel confident to experiment with bold colors. That’s where gray is the perfect choice. It can be a base for brighter colors if you want to add them later, but they can also be good enough as they are.

No matter your mood, there are new eye makeup colors to try. Go for the basics you always reach for, but with hints of trendy colors, or go with shades you don’t usually go for. Either way, have fun and go with what feels right.
